Exploring alternative Application architectures: De-Crudding Websites with Event Sourcing

Event Sourcing is an alternative application architecture that is making waves in architectural circles. It can provide a host of useful insights about the data your application generates but it requires that we rethink how we design our applications. This talk aims to break us free from the CRUD (Create/Read/Update/Delete) application architecture that we are taught early on in our development careers. We will go through the basics of CRUD to familiarize developers that may not deal with databases and then turn to describing event sourcing in an approachable and academic way.
